New project underway: a cabin-equipped toue dedicated to research on the Rhône 🌊

The plans are currently being finalized for a unit specially designed for a team of researchers working on eel fishing.

👉 Key features:
• Length: 15 m
• Width: 4 m
• 12 m² wooden cabin
• Two 400 L holding tanks
• 100 hp engine
• Dual control stations:
– navigation from the front
– precise adjustments during fishing from the rear, with direct visibility on the net
• Several winches enabling the use of the “guideau” fishing technique

A custom-designed project developed in collaboration with researchers and professional freshwater fishermen (Rhône and Loire), as part of a project funded by the Rhône Méditerranée Corse Water Agency and CNR (Compagnie Nationale du Rhône), to best meet field constraints and scientific requirements.

Many thanks to INRAE for their trust, as well as to Laïta Sailing shipyard for their commitment to bringing this project to life.

Fort de plus de 30 ans d’expérience dans la construction navale, Michel Le Bouedec a occupé des postes clés chez DCNS (supervision de chantiers à l’international), Kership (chargé d’affaires) et Piriou (CEO). Il a conduit des projets complexes, civils et militaires, en France comme à l’étranger. Son expertise couvre l’ensemble du cycle de vie des navires, de la conception à la livraison.
