Marc’h Bihan – Quality inspections successfully completed, now moving on to the fit-out phase for the Syndicat Mixte des Ports de Pêche et de Plaisance de Cornouaille (SMPPPC)!
We have just completed a key stage in the construction process: validation of the hull’s watertight integrity.
As part of our quality assurance process, all welds were subjected to systematic inspections, with two tests carried out on each compartment:
✅ Dye penetrant testing to detect any imperfections not visible to the naked eye,
✅ Air pressure testing to ensure perfect watertightness.
Result: 100% of compartments validated and a hull that is now fully watertight.
This milestone allows us to confidently move forward with the next phase of the project: the vessel’s fit-out!
Many thanks to the teams at Laïta Sailing and the Syndicat Mixte des Ports de Pêche et de Plaisance de Cornouaille (SMPPPC) for the constructive exchanges throughout this stage.
To be continued… 🚢
