Delivery of the chain ferry on the Vienne river!

We are pleased to announce the commissioning of the new “La Gardèche” chain ferry, installed on the Vienne river between Millac and Le Vigeant (Vienne – 86).

Constructed from aluminum, the new plant combines lightness, durability and corrosion resistance. It has been designed for reliable, environmentally-friendly use.

Many thanks to the communes of Millac and Le Vigeant for their confidence.

Thanks also to Laïta Sailing, builder of the ferry, for the quality of its work and its know-how.

Well done to all the teams involved in making this project a success!

Gaspard Willette, passionné par la conception navale, prépare un diplôme d’Ingénieur en GénieMécanique par Apprentissage à Centrale LyonENISE. Il applique ses compétences au sein de l’équipe de bureau d’étude d’ARMOR-X, où il contribue activement à la création de navires et de structures en aluminium. Dans le cadre de son alternance, il se consacre à la modélisation 3D, participe à la réalisation de la boucle navire et veille au respect des réglementations maritimes et fluviales. Curieux et observateur, Gaspard joue un rôle clé dans l'innovation chez ARMOR-X, tout en renforçant son expertise en ingénierie navale.

En tant qu’alternante en Administration des Ventes, elle est principalement chargée de la gestion des ventes et des tâches administratives associées. Grâce à sa formation polyvalente, Léane peut également mettre au profit d’ARMOR-X ses compétences en communication, événementiel ou comptabilité. En effet, elle contribue à la promotion de l’entreprise en étant présente aux salons navals et assurant la gestion des médias sociaux. Léane Chuiton is a third-year student in the University Bachelor of Technology (BUT) in Administrative and Commercial Management of Organizations (GACO) at the IUT of Brest-Morlaix. As a work-study student in Sales Administration, she is primarily responsible for managing sales and associated administrative tasks.

Thanks to her versatile training, Léane can also contribute her skills in communication, event planning, and accounting to ARMOR-X. She actively promotes the company by attending naval trade shows and managing social media. Her professionalism enables her to fully commit to the company’s projects throughout her work-study program.

Gaspard Willette, passionate about naval design, is pursuing an Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering as a work-study student at Centrale Lyon ENISE. He applies his skills within the design office team at ARMOR-X, where he actively contributes to the creation of aluminum ships and structures. As part of his work-study program, he focuses on 3D modeling, participates in the development of the ship loop, and ensures compliance with maritime and inland waterway regulations. Curious and observant, Gaspard plays a key role in innovation at ARMOR-X while strengthening his expertise in naval engineering.
