Start of construction of the KARA vessel for Mayotte!

🔵 The scientific vessel KARA is entering construction. The University of Mayotte will soon acquire a new research vessel named KARA, intended for studies conducted in the Mayotte lagoon. The ship, designed by ARMOR-X SAS, is being built by the Laïta Sailing shipyard in Quimperlé.

👉🏽 The first stages of the KARA vessel’s construction are taking shape… and it’s exciting to see the project becoming a reality!

The steel plates have now been tack-welded, and the outline of the vessel is beginning to emerge.
It’s always a special moment: when the 3D model becomes tangible.
